Chase ~ My Jet Setter!!

As you probably know from previous post, my child likes to go, go, go...Her last day of school was May 29th and since that time she has been on the go!! Some of it has been going and spending the weekend with her Uncle and cousin in Hampton, GA and some of it has been spending the night with friends around Newnan. On June 7th, she left after her daddy's installation service to go spend the week with her brother & sister in law, Nathan & Hester in Cumming, GA (actually she was really going to spend time with her nephew & niece Jacob & Kinley, but don't tell Nathan & Hester). Chase was planning to be at their house Sunday thru Saturday but then she got a call from her good friend Brooke, who wanted her to go to Gatlinburg, TN with her and her family, Chase hated to leave Nathan and Hester's, but really wanted to go with Brooke!! (Hester likes to pick at Chase by saying that she just got a better offer!! heehee) I picked Chase up on Wednesday~Chase had a great time with Nathan, Hester, Jacob and Kinley and she can't wait to go and finish out her week with them soon!! One of the highlights of her visit was when Hester made some colored pancakes for breakfast, Chase was very impressed with these!!

Brooke's dad picked Chase up on Thursday to head to Gatlinburg, TN...Chase was a little surprised when she found out that Brooke's dad was her brother's ages and Brooke's grandparents were her dad's age!! We had a big laugh about that!! :) Chase had a great time in Gatlinburg and we are so grateful to Brooke's family for inviting Chase to come along!! Chase's big adventure and according to Brooke's dad the highlight of their trip...was when they all went tubing down a river and Chase lost hold of her tube and got caught in the current...I can laugh about this now because Chase is at home safe and sound, but apparently it was a little scary!! Chase got swept away and ended up going down 4 small waterfalls...Brooke's grandmother said Chase was her Hero!! Chase made it out with a few scratches, a couple of bruises and a great story to tell!! Chase's other excitement on her trip was finding a Coach purse for only $40...I know $40 is alot for a purse, but this purse is regularly about $250, so it was a great buy, not too mention Chase has been wanting a Coach purse for quite sometime :) They also rode the skylift in downtown Gatlinburg!! What a fun trip!! Chase came home Sunday evening and.....

Monday morning Brian & Gerie called to invite Chase to go to Six Flags with both of them and Billy...of course she was up and out of bed in a matter of minutes and dressed and ready to go!! She had a blast...when we have gone in the past...Tommy and I have begged and begged Chase just to try a roller coaster, but there was no talking her into it...Well, I don't know what Brian & Gerie did, but they convinced her!! And just as I suspected She LOVED it!! I knew she couldn't be our daughter without loving roller coasters!! Brian & Gerie got her on the Scream Machine, The Cyclone, and The Mindbender!! She said that she was saving the Batman and the Superman roller coaster to ride with Tommy and I when we all can go!! What a fun day spent with her brother and sister in law and nephew!! :) Thanks again for taking her she had such a good time!!

Billy liked Wonder Woman!!

What a great summer Chase has had so far...Hopefully we can keep her home long enough to enjoy sometime with us!! :)

Krispy Kreme

Unfortunately I missed National Doughnut Day (June 5th), so we decided to stop by Krispy Kreme while we were at the Old Spaghetti Factory celebrating my birthday last Monday! We were able to watch the doughnuts being made and even got a "hot" one to eat right off the "assembly line" YUM!!

The kids had lots of fun at Krispy Kreme, but Kinley finally had enough...she was ready to go home!! :)

Heidi's Birthday

I guess since I am the blogger I have to write about my own birthday!?! I asked Tommy if he had written a blog for my birthday and he just said "Yeah, I wrote a little something" and I thought how sweet...I didn't even realize he knew how to sign on to our account! Then I find out, he meant on Facebook!! He says "Facebook, blog same thing" So since my loving husband doesn't know the difference from making a comment on facebook and writing a blog, I decided to blog about my birthday myself...Mainly because I have had a wonderful day and I am so thankful for my family and friends for making me feel so loved and so special!! :)

This is me...I was born June 8, 1968 and I am 41 years old today!! This is a picture of me and my brother Robert, my sister Hollie is actually on the other side of my highchair and I am not really sure why only her hand made into this picture, but this is one of my favorite pictures...Mostly because I can make fun of my brother looking like Opie Taylor!! hahaha...Just joking Rob!! :) I came from a great family growing up...My mother died when I was only 8 years old, but the Lord gave me a wonderful dad and a great sister and brother and I love them all dearly!! And I now have my own wonderful family that I love with all my heart!! I have the best husband anyone could ask for even if he doesn't know the difference between blogging and facebook! Tommy gave me 3 wonderful sons that I love as my very own and our precious daughter Chase! and as our family continues to grow with daughter in laws and grandchildren...life just keeps getting better and better...I thank God everyday for my husband, my family and this great life He has blest me with!!

As far as celebrations went...Brian and Gerie took me out to the Olive Garden on Sunday for my birthday!! We had such a great time!! Olive Garden is one of my favorite restaurants...Thanks again Brian and Gerie for treating us to a great lunch...I enjoyed the awesome food and the wonderful time spent with our family!! We love you guys!!

Today, I have to be honest...I have been lazy all day and it was so wonderful!! :) And tonight we met Nathan, Hester, Jacob, Kinley, and Chase at the Old Spaghetti Factory (Chase is spending the week at Nathan and Hester's)...We all had a great time there tonight...The food is really good there, and the atmosphere is just so cool...and of course, I just love spending time with my family...Thanks Nathan and Hester for meeting us...I know it's a long drive with the kids, but we had so much fun...I really appreciate you coming out and spending the time with me on my birthday...We love you guys!!

I have had such a special birthday!! The only thing that would have made my birthday more special would have been to have Matthew, Sarah, Hannah, and Kaleb here to help us celebrate!! Maybe next year!! :) I just want to thank Chase, Brian, Gerie, Billy, Nathan, Hester, Jacob, Kinley, and Tommy for helping me celebrate this weekend...I have had such a great time just spending my birthday with all of you!! I also want to thank Matthew and Sarah for your calls and everything that you did to make my birthday special even from far away!! I love you all so much!! :)

Tommy's Installation Service

Today was Tommy's first official Sunday as Pastor of Luthersville Baptist Church!! The pulpit committee planned a special Installation service today, since this was Tommy's first church. It was such a special day for Tommy and for all of us!! Chase, Brian, Gerie, Billy, Nathan, Hester, Jacob, and Kinley were all there to experience this day with him...We missed Matthew, Sarah, and the kids, but can't wait until they come for a visit this summer!! And of course Tommy's parents were there as well!! (for those who didn't know Tommy's parents are members at Luthersville Baptist and have been for many years!!)

We had a great service...the Lord's presence was definitely felt in the service...It was a wonderful time of the church committing to Tommy as their Pastor and Tommy committing to the church and all of us as believers committing to the Lord and then a ceremonial signing of a covenant between Tommy and the church!!

Fun with Billy!!

What a great weekend we have had with Billy!! Chase had a youth outing to go to from our church and the youth leaders thought it would be nice for the new pastor to make an appearance at the cookout and meet some of the youth, so Friday night we went to Chuck and Carolyn's house for a cookout...Billy had a great time with all the "Big Kids", they were all great with him...the boys even let him play football, unfortuantely I forgot my camera, so I didn't get any pictures. On Saturday a few of the local churches were having a Block party in the little town of Grantville, where we are living right now, so we went and had lots of fun!! They had hotdogs, snowcones, lots of bouncy things and great music and speakers what a great event for the community!! Billy and Mimi slipped out early and we went to Wendy's for a cheeseburger and then stopped at a really cool park in Hogansville, GA that I have been wanting to stop by (I mean when I have the grandkids that is...not for me!!)

Happy Anniversary to Brian & Gerie

Today, Brian and Gerie are celebrating their 8th Wedding Anniversary, so that means that Granddaddy, Mimi, and Aunt Chase get to have Billy all to ourselves for the whole weekend!! We are very excited to have some one on one time with Billy!! We will post some pictures later of our weekend with Billy! Today, we just wanted to wish Brian and Gerie a Happy Anniversary...Have a great weekend and don't worry about Billy!! :) Go out to eat!! Table for two...No highchair!! We love you guys!!

Summertime is Here!!

Ok, so summer hasn't officially started, but it is hot and school is out, so it's close enough!! :) I have also started back to "work" ~ Although I don't really consider this work, it's more like I am back to fun!! I have missed keeping Isabelle since we have moved back to GA and of course no one could take her place, but I do have a little girl that I am keeping 3 days a week!! Her name is Kaleigh and she is 10 years old, she is the sweetest little girl and I know we are going to have so much fun with Kaleigh this summer!!

Isn't she adorable?? We went to the mall today, with Chase and her best friend Jade...I am not sure I will make this mistake again...I tried to pretend they weren't with me!:) LOL!!
